The Women’s Fund’s engages women that are traditionally underrepresented in philanthropy and grantmaking through our Cultures of Giving programs. There are currently seven Cultures of Giving programs—each with its own unique mission: African American Women’s Fund Project, Her Scholarship, Hmong Women’s Giving Circle, Latinas en Acción, Lesbian Fund, and Reproductive Justice Project. Each program is led by a steering committee, which meets throughout the year to shape the program’s mission, create awareness, raise funds, and allocate grants.
Our goal is to build strong leaders who have the tools to create social change in their communities. To meet this goal, the Women’s Fund provides financial and staff support in the areas of governance, fundraising, grantmaking, and marketing to build capacity within each program.
