Training Institute: Best Practices in Serving the Hmong Community through the Perspective of Hmong Women
Led by a group of Hmong women who actively serve Hmong women and children, this workshop intends to bring about a shared understanding of Hmong culture as it relates to Hmong women and children within our community. This is an opportunity to learn about Hmong history - including the clan system, religion, and cultural practices - from the unique perspective of a Hmong woman. We will also engage in a valuable discussion about current day practices, ways to improve existing practices, and the potential for social change. An important event for practitioners working with the Hmong community, this workshop is also for people who want to support the Hmong community through a relationship that goes beyond monetary support.
